Born on 2nd November 1982, the eldest daughter of Dharmendra and the dreamgirl Hema Malini has no derth of acting in her blood. Her charming looks, ever smiling personality and expressive face have made her one of the most successful young divas of Bollywood. She also has a younger sister Ahana and two step-brothers Bobby and Sunny Deol both of who are Bollywood superstars.
Esha is fluent in Hindi, English and Tamil. Esha studied in the Jamnabai Narsee School, excelled at football, then went on to attend Oxford University and obtained a Masters Degree in Media Arts and Computer Technology. She also learned classical dance forms from her mom. Esha is an accomplished classical dancer, National Level football player.
Esha was getting offers from big producers in Bollywood since a very early age. She even turned down movies like Mohabbatein and Hey Ram. Her First debut film was a Boney Kapoor's ‘Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe’ opposite Aftab Shivdasani. The film was a flop and Esha failed to make any first impression on the Bollywood audience. Her next few film also did not seem to do well at the box office. After flops like Na Tum Jaano Na hum, Kuchh Toh hai, Chura Liya Hai Tumne Esha’s future in Bollywood seemed dark, but she continued to keep getting offers.
Her first big hit in Bollywood came with the biggie Dhoom where she played the role of hot and sizzling Sheena. The movie seemed to turn her fortunes and she soon starred in another big budget movie like Dus with co-stars like Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan and Zayed Khan. Esha made good friends with Zayed with whom she did quite a lot of movies, which might not have been too successful at the box office but the duo had quite an on screen chemistry.
She likes to work out and listen to music. She will shortly be seen in Cash followed by Darling and Honeymoon. It seems Bollywood is yet to see the best of Esha.
